In BGA14, uncovering artifacts relating to popular mythological creatures were on the rise and experts in excavation specializations sought to discover more of these “ancient beasts” in Shenguo. Although the majority of the findings went into research, others sold fossils to the highest bidder in foreign continents.
In the middle of a hot summer day, one team of excavators hunted for pieces to a puzzling artifact codenamed Dragon Head. It was the uncovered skull of what appeared to be part of a dragon outside of Yamato’s capital city, Kimono. Several key pieces were found once before and after years of research, a general hypothesis led scientists to believe that the headless creature was soon to be reunited with its skull.
Being the last to leave, a paleontologist stayed behind in a makeshift office near the work area to finish her duties throughout the night. The radio screeched, the signal grew fuzzy, and a brightly lit object sparkled in the dark sky as it made its way towards Earth.
Suddenly, a shining comet-like ray of light crashed into the center of the excavation site. A wave of energy spread through the ground, shattered glass, and pushed vehicles away from where they had been parked.
Drawn by the dying light, the paleontologist climbed down to the impact zone and found a barely clothed man lying at the center of the crater. He was surrounded by a white flaming aura, yet bore no visible wounds.
She carried the mysterious stranger away from the site, with no true understanding yet of how deeply that encounter would change her life and the future of Earth.
