The Earth
For over two centuries, the Earth had been affected by war, corruption, pollution, and famine. Human society, as a whole, conformed to living under the rule of a major world power known as the Conglomerati, a collective of powerful corporations, in an effort to avoid undesirable and unsafe living conditions.
Harnessing the power of science and technology, highly aggressive methods to control the world’s population took place and the powerful legion of corporations reigned supreme over the world by influencing powerful leaders in government into taking sides with them.
In the distant past, countless civil wars between independent nations ended in stalemates and compromise could not be met between fighting parties. Thus, the scars of battle gave way to increased depression and desperation and once-free nations sought annexation within three major continents in the hopes of progression and economic survival while keeping the rich in their positions under a social hierarchy.
Through the use of the media, leaders from two of the three organized continental nations promoted resentment towards each other through televised speeches and journalism while taking part in a grand scheme to keep the Conglomerati in power. As a result, the majority of a worldwide population eventually succumbed to living under a false concept of nationalism and freedom within their continents.
Governments peacefully unified the world under one world order against the wishes of a growing worldwide opposition from within. Intellectual skeptics of the new world and insiders within the Conglomerati directed preventative measures to crush intracontinental rebellions before ever taking place.
With the results of such actions working in the Conglomerati’s favor, the new world frontrunners promised a better change for Earth in a matter of decades. Near the end of a hostile age, the dawning of a new era known as the years Before Global Alliance, or “BGA,” symbolized the first step towards unity for the good of all mankind.
